Our Natural Existence!

Updated: Feb 12, 2021

Earth Statistics - Facts -

Earth is the only planet known to support life and its natural features are the subject of many fields of scientific research. Within the solar system, it is third closest to the sun; it is the largest terrestrial planet and the fifth largest overall.

Its most prominent climatic features are its two large polar regions, two relatively narrow temperate zones and a wide equatorial tropical subtropical region. Precipitation varies widely with location, from several metres of water per year to less than a millimetre. 71 percent of the Earth's surface is covered by salt water oceans. The remainder consists of continents and islands, with most of the inhabited land in the Northern Hemisphere.

Natural World

"Nature" refers to the phenomena of the physical world, to life in general. "Nature" often refers to the "Natural environment" or wilderness, for example Wild Animals (wildlife & fungi), Rocks (geology), Forests (plants), Beaches and in general - areas of our planet that have not been substantially altered by humans, or which persist despite human intervention.

…………………………

Our Abuse of our Planet

Alterations in natural Ecosystems and Earths biodiversity have irreparably damaged our planet through over population and human greed, but we can no longer blame mankind’s ignorance. We have known about it for decades and have totally ignored the serious consequences that we knew were likely to happen.

Since the ‘Industrial Revolution’, our planet has been consistently plundered of its natural resources and what we have left is a very hurt and damaged Planet that is no longer able to support its habitable population and its ignored human life and wildlife.

We have no one else to blame but ourselves; we have allowed it to happen before our eyes.

The Need for Repair

It is however, possible to reverse some of the damage that we have done, but work needs to start immediately to stem the tide of neglect. It needs us ALL to globally work together to give plenty of unconditional ‘LOVE’ to our planet and to, where possible, re-build the natural infrastructure, necessary to sustain all life, appropriate to every varied species, including mankind.

Climate Change

Climate Change is, possibly the hardest for us to ensure recovery. Various natural factors are known to influence the climate, including ocean currents, surface albedo, greenhouse gases and variations in the solar luminosity and changes to the Earth's orbit. Based on historical records, the Earth is known to have undergone drastic climate changes in the past, including ice ages.

Unless we have another Ice Age, there appears to be no other way of cooling our Planet, but there are some things that we can do. Our deserts need to be returned to wonderful natural thriving, bountiful and productive fertile land. We need the planting of many and massive Land woods and forests, thus providing necessary ‘Oxygen’ and consequently removing much land flooding. We need appropriate and well managed Areas, Wetlands and coastline defences. We need many re-wilding initiatives and as hard as it can be, the replenishment of maritime Grasses and Corals to support marine wildlife. None of these tasks are easy, but they need to be given Priority Attention and Action, before it is too late!!

Conclusion

All these requirements and initiatives need to live alongside a very fast growing ‘World Population’, with their very varied and complex needs. This is where the WORKING TOGETHER comes in: we need to kick out ‘selfishness’ ‘unrealistic politics’ and ‘greed’ and ALL work together to a better and appropriate FUTURE for us all.

This mass collaboration is mandatory otherwise ‘THERE WILL BE NO FUTURE’, that resembles our present Life Existence!!????
